Hari Hari is an independent manufacturer of Sri Lankan curry spice kits, started by a Poole-based mum of three. After seeing a gap in the market and being unable to source something similar for her own family, my client was keen to create and share simple curry kits that were created in the traditional way, where the spices are chosen for a specific type of meat, fish or vegetable and all sourced directly from Sri Lanka.
I created the brand to feel friendly, accessible and family orientated, with a hand-crafted feel. The kits are produced as packs to fit through the recipient’s letterbox with an accompanying recipe card and three-stage spice packets. I worked with my client to plan, source and create the kits along with all the materials needed to get the business off the ground.
I also designed and built the e-commerce website and offered training in the system to enable the business owner to manage and run her online business. We have also worked together on event materials, where the products are often showcased.
The spice packs went on to win Gold at the Taste of the West Awards in 2016.
